Julie Chang Schulman
Julie-C (@JouleSea) is a Hip Hop artist, creator, cultural advocate, and creative ecosystems strategist hailing from Seattle, WA. With over two decades of community and cultural organizing under her belt, her passions lay at the intersection of creativity, community wellness, and collective liberation. She is co-founder and co-executive steward of On The Block Seattle/Forever Safe Spaces which collectively operates four BIPOC-creative led cultural spaces including Blue Cone Studios, The Study, So Below Photo & Design, and Eleven: Eleven On The Block. On The Block is a living creative ecosystem advancing the mission of Seattle Artist Coalition for Equitable Development reclaiming space and agency for artists, cultural workers, and historically displaced communities. Through creative-solution making, coordination, and direct investment, Seattle ACED works to ensure that artists and cultural workers are not displaced by urban change—but are resourced and positioned to shape it.
