Ry Armstrong

Ry Armstrong (they/them) is an impact-driven nonprofit leader, creative strategist, and progressive organizer based in Seattle. With extensive experience across the arts, labor advocacy, and community organizing, Ry has advanced equitable systems that empower union workers and strengthen civic engagement. They serve as an elected on the National Council of Actors’ Equity (AFL‑CIO), representing over 50,000 performing artists, and as an MLK Labor delegate for SAG‑AFTRA, driving initiatives that secure fair wages, worker protections, and sustainable creative economy infrastructure. An out queer/trans leader, Ry was recognized as a “2024 Outstanding Voice in the LGBTQ+ Community” by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
