Trina Griffin

Trina Griffin, a University of Washington Drama graduate and digital filmmaking expert from Shoreline Community College has been a critical industry player since 1998 as an Assistant Director of Films and Stage Manager in the theater. Her photography, highlighted in the 2019 Shoreline Spindrift Catalogue and various galleries, supports nonprofits aiding children with disabilities. She sits on the board of women in film and as the Founder and Executive Director of Rising Reels, she has the honor of educating underserved and underrepresented children in the community, with a focus on BIPOC children, that want to learn about filmmaking. This has lead them to win the 2022 Renton Film Frenzy Award for Best Cinematography. Her leadership at Rising Reels empowers young filmmakers to create films, engage in community projects, and participate in competitive film challenges, establishing foundational career paths in the industry."
