William J. Beard

In January 1987, the Beastie Boys, Fishbone & Murphy’s Law played the Paramount Theater in Seattle. It was William’s first concert, just weeks after his 13th birthday. He stagedived, and it changed his life. He discovered early House music & DJing in 1989 and has been leaping into music ever since. It’s earned him 30 years of comprehensive Entertainment Industry experience across film, television, gaming, music supervision, sync licensing and radio. He has earned paychecks on set bringing RZA Roscoe’s chicken & waffles, blasting Madonna with a fan in the desert night, and as a post-production supervisor for the likes of Bad Robot & HBO. He started hanging out with the Music Supervisors on the TV shows he was working on and merged his personal music & radio endeavors with his work in film. After 15 years in LA he moved back to Seattle and got a gig Music Supervising & licensing video content at Microsoft and Xbox. In the last several years he’s been a serial entrepreneur building a boutique music licensing agency, now in its new chapter as part of the Diamonds & Music collective, he also runs a pioneering Digital Publishing Platform for writing & podcast projects sharing the critical solutions of our time discovered during his global adventures = PATH FRWD.
